Our first major project with The League of Conservation Voters (LCV)—in association with the Building Construction Trades Department—saw us shooting footage in the Mojave Desert and 46 floors above downtown Los Angeles. [ Read project case study] So a tone was set for boldness, which is always fun.
Deliverables include print and digital advertising, television and radio spots as well as animated and live action shorts that are, well, atypical of traditional environmental promotions. If you don’t believe us, you can ask Rush Limbaugh.
“With Us or With Rush” remains one of our most time-sensitive promotions. As talking points started emerging from Washington, calling out the controversial talk show host as the de facto head of the Republican party, it was essential that any related viral had to be live within days. Otherwise, it would be disregarded as late and irrelevant.
In association with Draw Pictures, we quickly nailed down a concept that drew on (of all things) the Syncro-Vox technique of late 50s and early 60s cartoons like Clutch Cargo. The spot was launched while the Rush talking points dominated the headlines, capitalizing on the earned media attention. Our over-the-top concept received more than 60,000 views within hours of being featured on MS-NBC and The Rush Limbaugh Show, among other media outlets.
