The Compound’s relationship with adidas began in 2005, as the sports apparel giant sought to develop a strong ecommerce presence for its Y-3 label.

From a design perspective, the new site had to be well suited to this collaboration with fashion icon, Yohji Yamamoto. From a logistical perspective, it was essential that the site dovetail seamlessly with existing inventory and order fulfillment operations at Y-3’s brick and mortar boutiques.

The site launched. Successfully. On time. And since the successful launch of the Y-3 online store, our relationship with adidas has deepened, with The Compound now providing ongoing digital and print advertising for the company’s Y-3 and SLVR labels.
